About MVWS

Mount Vernon Whisky Society (MVWS) was founded in 2020 by a group of neighbors who enjoy whiskey, good people and good times.

It is the goal of MVWS to promote whisky that might not have the name recognition of certain brands but is affordable and as good, if not better. The members of MVWS are not experts in the whisky trade, and can’t tell the difference in wheatgrass, hints of apricots, figs, and other flavors that the experts use to describe whiskey. We know that we like it, or don’t. In our gatherings we will rate whiskies from all over, and let you know what we think of them in an easy common-sense style.
